Tour itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek 

Upon your arrival in Bishkek, you will be transferred to the city and check into the hotel by 14:00. After a brief rest, embark on a fascinating sightseeing tour that includes Oak Park, Ala-Too Square, the Philharmonic Hall, the Statue of Manas, Victory Square, and the vibrant Oriental market – Osh Bazaar. Following lunch, journey to the breathtaking Ala-Archa National Park (40 km). This alpine gorge, with its fast-flowing Ala-Archa River, tall snow-covered peaks, and fir-forested slopes, sets the stage for a delightful hike from the Alpine camp (2200 m) to the majestic "Ak-Sai" waterfall (35 m) at an elevation of 2700 m above sea level. Conclude the day with a transfer back to Bishkek and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Bishkek - Issyk-Kul 

In the morning, depart for the serene Issyk-Kul Lake (260 km). En route, explore the historical Burana Tower, a marker of the original Karakhanid town of Balasagun. Continue your journey to Cholpon-Ata, where an open-air museum of petroglyphs awaits, and displaying stone art dating from 500 BC to 100 AD. The depictions include wolves, long-horned ibex, goats, horses, snow leopards, sacrifices, and hunting scenes. Visit the local lore museum before enjoying dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel on the northern shore of Issyk-Kul.

Day 3: Cholpon-Ata - Karakol

Transfer to the picturesque Jety-Oguz gorge, known for its coniferous forest, flower clearings, and captivating rock formations, including the famous "Seven Bulls" and "Broken Heart." Continue to Karakol (220 km), where a city tour awaits, and featuring visits to the Prezhevalskiy Museum, the Russian-Orthodox Church, and the Dungan Mosque in Chinese style. Conclude the day with dinner in a Dungan family and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Karakol - Kochkor 

Travel to Kochkor along the Southern Shore of Issyk-Kul Lake (280 km). Explore the stunning Skazka gorge, characterized by red mountain formations, offering spectacular views of Issyk-Kul Lake. Continue to Bokonbaevo, where you will witness an impressive eagle hunting show. Upon arrival in Kochkor, visit a felt carpet workshop to witness the traditional process of crafting Kyrgyz national felt carpets. Enjoy dinner with a Kyrgyz family and stay overnight in family-run accommodation.

Day 5: Kochkor - Son-Kul 

Embark on a morning transfer to Son-Kul (140 km), one of the highest lakes in Kyrgyzstan (3016 m above sea level). Immerse yourself in the nomadic way of life, riding horses, observing edelweiss flowers, camels, yaks, golden eagles, and learning about the production of Kyrgyz national drink – Kymyz (mare’s milk). Son-Kul, situated on a treeless, high mountain plateau, is a remote haven for shepherds who establish camps and set up yurts in the summertime. Experience the magnificence of hundreds of herds and various yurts before enjoying dinner and an overnight stay in the yurt camp.

Day 6: Son-Kul - Bishkek 

Transfer back to Bishkek (360 km) with lunch en route. The afternoon is free for leisure activities. Conclude your journey with a farewell dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel or guesthouse.
